TheClassicalStation Heads to UNC Health Summerfest

At The Classical Station, we cherish opportunities to engage directly with our listeners and music lovers from across North Carolina. Recently, we had the distinct pleasure of participating in UNC Health Summerfest, a beloved event held in collaboration with our longtime partner, the North Carolina Symphony, at the beautiful Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary.

Summerfest drew an impressive crowd, eager to experience unforgettable performances featuring beloved works by Beethoven, Mozart, and a host of classical favorites. The warm summer evenings provided a perfect setting for families, friends, and classical enthusiasts of all ages to gather and experience the magic of live music.

Our station booth was buzzing with activity as visitors stopped by to chat with announcers, and volunteers. We were particularly delighted to hear firsthand how our broadcasts play an important role in your daily lives.

“It’s always a great time to be able to meet people that may only know us from the radio, particularly against the backdrop of the phenomenal music presented by Summerfest.”

Summerfest represents everything that WCPE strives to represent: great classical music that brings the people of North Carolina together and allows new generations to fall in love with music that has stood the test of time. As the night went on conversation flowed easily and new friendships were formed over mutual appreciation for exceptional performances.
