Like many non-profits, we count on our Spring and Fall Membership Drives to raise the money we need to keep bringing you the great classical music you love. Thank you for your support.

What does our programming mean to you?

William writes in a review of our app: “Outstanding station that presents classical music in a most professional, friendly and informative fashion!”   One of the things our listeners comment on frequently is the fact that we have a live announcer on duty 24/7.  Our announcer love the music as much as you do and they enjoy sharing their knowledge of the music with you.

We control computers. Not the other way around.

You see, we don’t let our computer software tell us what to play. That’s a decision which one of the most talented music directors in the business does. William Woltz has been listening to YOU, as well as to all the CDs he listens to every day. Your likes, and dislikes, factor into his decisions about what to program. That’s why you are going to hear the familiar sounds of a Brahms symphony or a Beethoven piano sonata. The twist which William adds is his selection of the artists performing for you.

Oh, and did we mention that you can see what we are going to playing tomorrow, and the day after? You have our General Manager, Deborah Proctor to thank for that permission to forward-announce our playlists. We are one of two stations that are permitted to do that legally under the terms of the Digital Millenial Copyright Act of 1998. Deborah managed to get The Classical Station grandfathered in! You see, we were publishing our playlists in advance online back in September of 1998. That’s right! We’ve been online since the 90s!
