The Orchestre de la Suisse Romande on Monday Night at the Symphony

Tonight, the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande will be highlighted in our program, Monday Night at the Symphony. Led by Music Director Jonathan Nott, the OSR has dedicated 105 years to providing Switzerland’s city of Geneva with amazing performances of classical music. They have released over 100 recordings with Decca Classics, and since the orchestra’s founding in 1918, it has attracted thousands of high-quality musicians filled with genuine care for the music they perform.

At 8 p.m., join The Classical Station for the OSR’s recordings of pieces by Offenbach and Dukas, Farewell of the Tsar by Rimsky-Korsakov, the suite from Debussy’s Pelleas and Melisande, and an excerpt from Stravinsky’s Petrushka, conducted by Ernest Ansermet, Jonathan Nott, Philippe Jordan, and Paavo Jaarvi.
