The Classical Station’s Education Fund Awards $16,500 in Grants to Support Classical Music Education in the Community

Wake Forest, NC – WCPE 89.7 FM, The Classical Station, a nonprofit classical music radio station, is proud to announce the recipients of the 2023 Education Fund grants. Grants totaling $16,500 have been awarded to seven outstanding organizations dedicated to providing classical music education to children in our community.

The Classical Station’s Education Fund plays a vital role in supporting and enriching classical music education initiatives throughout our region. These grants are awarded to organizations that provide music lessons, scholarships, and instruments to deserving children who may otherwise not have access to these resources.

The recipients of the 2023 Education Fund grants are as follows:

  1. Community Music School
  2. Kidznotes
  3. Musical Empowerment
  4. NC Arts in Action
  5. North Carolina Chamber Music Institute
  6. School of Hope
  7. SKJAJA Fund

Each of these organizations has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to fostering a love for music and empowering children through music education. With the help of these grants, they will be able to continue their invaluable work, making a positive impact on the lives of countless young musicians in North Carolina.

The Classical Station’s Education Fund is made possible through the generosity of our members. We are incredibly grateful to our members who allocate 10% of their gifts to support this important cause. Their contributions directly contribute to the success of these grants and the advancement of classical music education in our community. Over the last 14 years, the Education Fund has granted over $138,000 to various organizations and initiatives, providing essential resources to nurture and inspire the next generation of classical musicians.
