Interview: Paul O’Dette

This interview with TheClassicalStation.org examines Paul O’Dette’s path from early musical exposure and rock guitar into becoming one of the defining lutenists of the early music world. He discusses the pioneering years when players had to reconstruct technique directly from historical sources because almost no modern guidance existed. The conversation is especially valuable for listeners interested in the profession because it shows how scholarship, performance, instrument history, and pedagogy can come together to build a career.
