It’s Friday Eve, All!
We’ll celebrate at 7pmET with Thursday Night Opera House and Gaetano Donizetti’s La Fille du Regiment (The Daughter of the Regiment) in a 1968 recording of Richard Bonynge conducting the Orchestra and Chorus of The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, along with legendary soloists including Joan Sutherland and Luciano Pavarotti.

This evening at 7pmET, wrap yourself in the warmth of vinyl with Vince Tillona and Drop the Needle. This week’s spotlight is on Smetana, J.S. Bach, and Prokofiev’s tribute to Haydn and Mozart. Then at 8pmET, Monday Night at the Symphony features recordings of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra with works by Bizet, Saint-Saens, and Elgar, conducted by Simon Rattle, Sakari Oramo, and Louis Fremaux. 
Tomorrow, George Leef honors Classical Café’s weekly Legendary Performer:
Spanish violinist, composer, and conductor Pablo de Sarasate.
And on Wednesday just after 11amET, George will give away two tickets to the Akropolis Reed Quintet’s performance in Durham this Friday evening, courtesy of Duke Arts.
