Scott Will

Scott graduated from Purdue University in 1983 with a triple major in computer science, mathematics, and numerical analysis. He went into the Air Force upon graduation and spent eight years as an instructor pilot, combat pilot, and aircraft commander. He picked up an MBA while on active duty. After leaving the Air Force, Scott joined IBM Corporation, where he has been for the past 23 years. He is currently a senior software engineering consultant and an IBM master inventor with numerous issued patents. He co-authored the recently released book on software engineering entitled Being Agile.

Scott has always loved classical music, and, when he and his family settled in Wake Forest, he was thrilled to learn that WCPE was right in his back yard! He heard an announcement that the station was looking for volunteer announcers and couldn’t pass up the opportunity to give it a try. That was nearly 20 years ago, and he has been a volunteer announcer with WCPE ever since. His oldest daughter is now also a volunteer announcer with WCPE, and he thoroughly enjoys it when she joins him on a shift as co- announcer. He enjoys voice-over work and public speaking when opportunities arise.
