Dan McHugh

Dan McHugh was the Membership Director at WCPE, The Classical Station. He started out as an intern back in the summer of 2009 while studying history at NC State University. I loved listening to the music and wanted to be a part of the station.

Since then, I’ve really gotten into early music. I play the harpsichord (I have two of them, a French double and an Italian virginal) and am a member of the Historical Keyboard Society of North America. I attend conferences every year and have even been as far away as Spain!

I love working at WCPE. The people really make the place special, especially the listeners who call in. I still enjoy announcing from time to time, usually on the weekends and during the fundraisers. I think the most important thing about announcing is sharing my enthusiasm for the music with everyone.
