WCPE FM Offers Gardens of Spain Weekend

TheClassicalStation.org Focuses on Spanish Masters

WAKE FOREST, N.C. (April 6, 2018)—WCPE’s Music Director William Woltz announces In the Gardens of Spain Weekend, April 6-8, 2018. The program will feature great composers as well as virtuoso performances.

“Hear the smoky guitar sounds of Tárrega, the bright orchestrations of Rodrigo, and the passionate dances of Manuel de Falla, Albéniz, Granados and more,” offers Woltz. “Get ready for a weekend of great music from Spain!”

On the playlists for our popular “In The Gardens of Spain” Weekend are works by Francisco Tárrega, Joaquín Rodrigo, Manuel de Falla, Isaac Albéniz, Enrique Granados Campiña, Joaquín Turina, and many other composers. You will hear music of the Spanish Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic and 20th-century over the course of the weekend. And you’ll not want to miss any part of “In the Gardens of Spain” Weekend which begins Friday evening, April 6 and runs through Sunday, April 8.

Don’t forget to request music from your favorite Spanish piece on the Saturday Evening Request Program!
