Tanya has been hosting Weekend Classics on Sunday afternoons since 1995. She has a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and works in corporate communications for Progress Energy (her “day job”). Tanya can often be seen in Chapel Hill on fall weekends conducting “referee clinics” from her upper-level seat in Kenan Stadium. During the winter months, those clinics are moved inside to her home in Wake Forest and are often conducted in the reluctant presence of her two Siamese cats, Wyatt and Doc.
Her favorite piece of classical music is Mozart’s Eine Kleine Nachtmusic, or as her husband calls it “the Busch Gardens theme song.”
