I grew up in Wilmington, Delaware; lived in the Great Lakes area; and moved to North Carolina in 1989. Also, I had the opportunity to live in El Salvador and Germany. I acquired the appreciation of classical music from my father, who had a few 78 rpm records, such as a piano version of Hungarian Rhapsody no. 2. Besides classical music, I enjoy bluegrass, Dixieland jazz, and such groups as Ladysmith Black Mambazo from South Africa and Los Chalchaleros from Argentina.
Besides music, I enjoy model trains and ham radio; I have a license WB8USJ. I worked for Alcatel, which makes telecommunication equipment, as an electrical engineer.
I appreciate the help and encouragement from the staff and other volunteers at WCPE and hope to be useful in this wonderful adventure.
