We're glad that you are interested in volunteering with WCPE!

WCPE was founded by volunteers. Volunteers have always been a vital part of our station. Our mission is to share Great Classical Music with the world. By volunteering your time and talent, you can be part of our team effort!

Plus, volunteering with WCPE gives you an opportunity to spend time with a wonderfully diverse group of interesting and dedicated people who love classical music and want to support The Classical Station.

We have a variety of needs, ranging from helping assemble our fundraising mailings, to assisting with our semi-annual pledge drives, to engineering.

You can make a difference!

Pledge Drives

WCPE holds pledge drives each Spring and Fall. We need Volunteers, both individuals and in groups, who can come to the Volunteer!station and answer phones and fill out pledge forms.

Pledge drives are great opportunities for your company or civic group to serve the community! We'll be glad to acknowledge your company or group over the air. If you would prefer do to something other than answer phones, we also need help packing up Thank You gifts, and preparing and mailing out pledge confirmations and other paperwork.

Help assemble our mailings

Several times each quarter, WCPE sends out a newsletter and/or fund raising letter to our Members. While some of the envelope stuffing is performed by machine, most of the work is done by our Volunteers.

Some of our Volunteers have been helping us with our mailings for 5 or 10 years or even longer. Why do these people come out to the station to stuff envelopes? The satisfaction of knowing that they are supporting WCPE and helping us share Great Classical Music with the world, Pledge Drivethe pleasure of spending time with others who love classical music, and the joy of seeing friends they've met at the station over the years.
