And when I bought myself a set of speakers for my computer it's like magic. Even compared with the other stations WCPE is the best. 'Carpe diem' Oh... and I have the privilege to attend performances by the musicians in the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam but seldom on radio not interrupted by noisy commercials! WCPE is a revelation. Years ago, I used to listen to WCPE while working in Greenville. At that time, we could not get good reception in New Bern. I was listening today (10/19) to a recorded comment from a police officer about how important classical music and WCPE is to him. Most of us can only imagine the level of stress that is an every day part of a police officer's life. I first heard WCPE at a summer camp at Duke this summer, and loved it. A few weeks later, I decided I simply had to have a classical music source. Imagine my surprise when I stumbled on WCPE! I finally have some good music to drown out the "musical" selections of others. Thank you!
