Not all famous composers died peacefully at a ripe old age. See if you can identify the composer by the clue provided. Click the "?" to see if you're correct.

1. Wanting to be known only as "the French composer", he died of colon cancer at the end of World War I. ?
2. He suspected that he had been poisoned by a rival composer. The exact cause of his death has never been determined. ?
3. According to legend, he feebly raised a fist to the heavens during a fierce thunderstorm, as if challenging God, before dying at the age of 56. ?
4. Within a few weeks of the death of his musically gifted sister, this composer died just before his 38th birthday. ?
5. Although some speculate that it was suicide, tradition says that he drank a glass of unboiled tap water during a cholera epidemic in St. Petersburg. ?
6. It is believed he suffered from manic-depressive syndrome. In a state of despair, he jumped into the Rhone River but was pulled out. He died in an insane asylum a few years later. ?
7. A frail man most of his life, he succumbed to tuberculosis at the age of 39. ?
