The Opera Company of North Carolina to be Featured on WCPE’s “Preview!”

Interview with General Director Frank Grebowski to air September 23 at 7 p.m. ET

WAKE FOREST, N.C. (September 19, 2007) –TheClassicalStation.org announces today that its weekly program “Preview!” will feature an interview with Frank Grebowski, general director of The Opera Company of North Carolina (OCNC). The interview will air Sunday, September 23.

During the show, WCPE’s Deana Vassar will sit down with Grebowski to discuss the company’s upcoming performance of Mozart’s Le Nozze Di Figaro and additional performances planned for this season. The Di Figaro opera will run September 27-29, at 8 p.m. in Raleigh’s Meymandi Concert Hall.

“I’ve enjoyed OCNC’s performances throughout its 10-year history,” says Vassar. “They’ve brought so many wonderful performances and renowned talent to the Triangle area over this time.”

Grebowski joined OCNC last fall after founders Robert and Margaret Galbraith decided to move on after accomplishing their goals. The company has four performances planned for the 2007-08 season.

“Preview!” airs every Sunday evening from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. (ET) and presents the latest in classical recordings and upcoming classical events.
