WCPE wins Readers Choice Award

WCPE Thanks Durham Listeners

The Herald-Sun Readers Recognize WCPE as one of the Readers Choice AwardBest Radio Stations Broadcasting in Durham, N.C.

WAKE FOREST, N.C. (July 18, 2007)-TheClassicalStation.org announces today that WCPE is the Second Place winner, in the Best Radio Station Category, of the Annual "Herald-Sun Reader's Choice Awards." The 2007 winners were published in the Sunday, June 8, Herald-Sun supplement.

"I am greatly honored that Durham area residents recognize WCPE's efforts in providing Great Classical Music and excellent radio programming," says WCPE General Manager Deborah S. Proctor.

Readers of the Herald-Sun were provided the opportunity to share their opinions about who are the area's best in more than 100 categories.

WCPE is a non-commercial, 100 percent listener-supported, independent station dedicated to excellence in Great Classical Music broadcasting. WCPE can be heard at 89.7 FM across central North Carolina and Southside Virginia.
