WCPE's 1999 Open House

A big "thank you" to everyone who attended our 2nd annual Open House!

studioOn Saturday, October 2nd, hundreds of folks made the trek out to the WCPE studios in Wake Forest to see the tower, facilities and music library, as well as meet the staff and emjoy some tasty desserts!

The WCPE staff was on hand to explain WCPE's new outreach services, including our unlimited streams of Internet audio, as well as sharing comments from new satellite listeners. Visitors to the Open House were also treated to maps pinpointing WCPE's new partners in rebroadcasting and cable hosts... an impressive list of listeners across the nation!transmitter building

General Manager Deborah Proctor led tours of the antenna and transmitter facilities. Visitors were intrigued by the many big & noisy machines running WCPE's 100,000 watt signal!

Announcers were on hand to give tours of the on-air studios, and folks of all ages got to try out the seat behind the microphone. Music Director Paul Bachmann also gave tours of the extensive music library.Music Library

Again, thanks to everyone who turned out and made WCPE's 2nd annual Open House such a success! We thank you for your support of Great Classical Music and are truly thankful for your support.

We look forward to seeing you next year!
