    Date of document: April 3, 1974

  • Tax Exempt Status, USA (Page 1, Page 2)
    Department of the Treasury, Internal Revenue Service

  • Reiteration of Tax Exempt Status (Page 1)
    Department of the Treasury, Internal Revenue Service

To verify WCPE's exempt status on the IRS website:

  • Go to "www.irs.gov";
  • On the right, click on "Charities & Non-Profits";
  • On the right, under "Related Topics", click on "Search for Charities";
  • In the middle, click on "Search Now"; this should take you to the "pub 78" page.
  • Under "Organization", specify the name to include "WCPE";
  • The results will be at the bottom of the screen: "Educational Information Corporation WCPE Radio, Wake Forest, NC" (The 50% limit means that only the first half of your yearly income in any calendar year is qualified to be tax deductible to WCPE. So far, we don't know that this has been a problem for anyone.)

Equal Employment Opportunity:

WCPE, an equal opportunity, affirmative action employer, is dedicated to providing broad outreach regarding job vacancies at the station to women, minorities, and senior citizens.
